The 11th edition of the Tehran International Animation Festival (TIAF) has handed out the lists of jury members for its CIFEJ section and international competition.
Dutch-British animator Michaël Dudok de Wit, French film producer Sylvie Bringas, Iranian director Mahin Javaherian, and Hungarian animator Ferenc Mikulás are on the jury panel for international competition of the TIAF.
The jury for the CIFEJ section includes Iranian graphic designer and writer Azadeh Shakouri-Raad and Volker Petzold, the program adviser of SCHLINGEL International Film Festival in Germany.
Earlier, Hamed Jafari, Ravanbakhsh Sadeqi, Farrokh Yekdaneh, Sadat Rahimzadeh and Amir Mehran, all from Iran, were named as the jury members of the national competition at the 11th TIAF.
‘This Magnificent Cake!’ by Marc James Roels and Emma De Swaef, ‘Augur’ by David Doutel and Vasco Sá, ‘Inanimate’ by Lucia Bulgheroni, ‘Weekends’ by Trevor Jimenez, ‘Late Afternoon’ by Louise Bagnall, ‘Grandpa Walrus’ by Lucrèce Andreae, ‘Facing it’ by Sam Gainsborough, as well as ‘Trump Bites’ and ‘The Modern Lives’ by Bill Plympton are among the animations on the 11th TIAF schedule.
The TIAF is a biennial held by the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children & Young Adults.
The festival aims to create an environment for the exchange of ideas and experiences through goal-oriented collection and presentation of the arts, while spotting talent and encouraging innovation amongst new comers.
The 11th edition of the TIAF will be held in Tehran on March 3-7, 2019.
